An online journal about my life. When I become a rock star someday, you can all say you kind of knew me...

i just can’t not post this
I want to see inception so bad but it costs so much money to go see a movie here. Minimum twenty dollars, even more if it’s in three-d. Urgg!
What an exciting and terrifying experience it has been so far. I got off the plane at 6:30am with absolutely no idea where to go, looked like complete shit, and was very confused. I took a cab to my school and got to experienced the strange feeling of cars being driven on the other side of the road. When I got to Hillsong, I met a whole bunch of people (some new students and some current students) and then got to move into my apartment! My room has a balcony that overlooks the courtyard (which is beautiful) and also looks out at the other three student housing apartment buildings. The key to get into my apartment is pink (which I think I might have been a little too excited about) and we get swipe cards that let us into our buildings as well as an amazing gym and an indoor pool … I’m basically in heaven. The only down fall is that I’m sick so I can’t enjoy it as much as I want to. I have never been so jet-lagged in my life, all I want to do is sleep but no one will let me! Two of my room mates still haven’t arrived yet so I’m excited to find out who I’ll be sharing a room with. I’ll post some pictures tomorrow, but for now, I need to get some dinner! I miss everyone back in Canada, hopefully I’ll get to talk to you soon :)
It started out by waking up at 8:10 to be at the daycamp I’m volunteering at for 8:30… I didn’t look my best but I’m not too worried about it. Spent the morning chasing around a bunch of seven years olds, and the afternoon trying to keep track of them at the pool we went swimming at (I obvi had a cannon ball contest with one my kids, I’ll leave it a mystery who won).
Then I met up with emcam, marlie, and ben to have some fahittas at Lonestar… they apparently don’t sit well in my stomach so there was a minor episode in the bathroom after I finished my meal (I’ll leave it a mystery what the episode entailed). Then we bussed to Lebreton Flats for the first night of Bluesfest! We saw lights which was a tad disappointing because she half lipsinked all of her songs. Then we saw Iron Maiden which was bommmmb, I had never really listened to their music before but I really enjoyed it. Emcam Marlie and I all bought matching Iron Maiden shirts that are totally out of character for all of us, but that’s why they are so sick!
Then we jammed out to some old school Paramore on our way to Mcdicks and bought one dollar drinks and ice cream. We further discussed my episode at Lonestar and the deffinition of swamp donkey/dragon and what it really means. All in all, it was an awesome day that I got to spend acting like a child in the morning and hanging out with my best friends at night :D
Oh Ottawa, why are you shitty all the time, and then the week before I’m moving away, you make me not wanna leave?
